Overview
The kitchen display (KDS) is a live expo board for food tickets.
Flow: New → Start (optional) → tap lines or Bump → Recall if needed.
KDS is on Growth and above. Use a dedicated kitchen tablet.
Simple rules

Ticket clock
The number on the card is time waiting since this ticket was first sent to kitchen, not since extra food was added later.
On a normal first send, that is the same moment the order is created. If FOH adds more food to the same tab later, those lines join the same card and the clock does not restart. There is no per-item timer.
On the Done tab, the number is cook time from that first send until bump.
Paper kitchen slips stamp the time they printed. Add-on slips are “printed now”; a reprint from the board uses the original send time.
Age colours: green → amber (about 10 min) → red (about 20 min). Oldest tickets first. Light/dark and sound toggles are in the toolbar.
Combine tabs
Combining clears the source from KDS and can print a void/merge slip. Tell the pass if paper already printed.
